Stamp-a-Stack Card Class #1

So excited for the holidays, it is such a fun time of the year!  I much prefer crafting cards and making gifts to the craziness of holiday shopping.  These beautiful cards which are featured in today's Stamp-a-stack class are so easy to make.  If you didn't make today's class I will have several more Stamp-a-Stacks through December to make your holiday card making a snap, so come join me.
I found the idea for this design online and only made a few changes as it was nearly perfect to begin with!  I love red, white and black - colors of my wedding in fact.  On this I love Santa card, I used Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and Basic Black card stock,  the Stylish Stripes Embossing folder, the Square Collection framelits, Cherry Cobbler Chevron ribbon, Silver 1/8" ribbon and Whisper White baker's twine, Paper-piercing tool and Occasions Paper-piercing pack, Black Stazon ink pad along with the Santa's List and Very Merry Tags stamp sets.

On this Thanks card, I used Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, and Early Espresso card stock, the Square Lattice embossing folder, the Deco Labels Collection and Apothecary Accents framelits, Soft Sky Seam Binding ribbon, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Soft Sky, and Early Espresso Classic Stampin' pads, a stamping sponge, and the Harvest of Thanks and Gently Falling stamp sets.

Who doesn't enjoy snowflakes, nature at it's finest.  On this snowflake card, I used Soft Sky, Midnight Muse and Whisper White card stock, Soft Sky, Midnight Muse, and Old Olive Classic Stampin' pads, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, and the Snowflake Soiree and Joy to the World stamp sets.  Note the Snowflake Soiree stamp set is one of several carryover stamp sets from last year that are not in the catalog but still available for purchase.

Ink Reformulation - Just in case you missed this previously!

Five ink colors have undergone formula changes to improve functionality and color stability with the new firm foam pads. These colors are
  • Basic Black
  • Basic Gray
  • Marina Mist
  • Perfect Plum
  • Tempting Turquoise
All five colors of the reformulated inks have been fully tested and approved. While using the new ink formula in the old Stampin’ Pads is fine, Stampin' Up does not recommend using the old ink formula for these five colors in the new firm foam pads. Any refills purchased after April 30, 2012, will contain the new formulated ink.

Stampin' Up also does not recommend using the Basic Black Classic Stampin' Pad on Whisper White or Very Vanilla Card Stock. Instead, it is recommended that you use the StazOn Ink Pad.

Magnetic Platforms Available for Order!

Stampin' Up has announced that the wait is over and they can start filling new orders for magnetic platforms (item 130658) on September 12th!

Cards for September Stamp Night and Stamp Camp

I had so much fun this past weekend making cards and projects for the upcoming holidays and hope those of you signed up for September classes like what I've come up with.

On this Thankful card I used Sahara Sand card stock, Early Espresso Core'dinations card stock, Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper, Gold Foil Sheet paper, Champagne Glimmer Paper, the Woodgrain Embossing folder, the Autumn Accents Bigz and Expressions Thinlits dies, Linen Thread, a Naturals Designer button, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip and Crushed Curry Classic Stampin' pads.  The ink was sponged on the leaves to give added color/texture.

On this Snowflake card I used the Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay, and Whisper White card stock, Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper, Silver Glimmer Paper, the Festive Flurry stamp set and Framelits dies, Rhinestone Basic jewels, Island Indigo, Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin' pads and don't forget the dimensionals.  I'll have the Joy to the World and Many Merry Messages stamp sets on hand for stamping an inside greeting.

I have four different Halloween designs to choose from as I know some prefer cute Halloween and others Spooky.  This first card was made with Tangerine Tango, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock, Witches' Brew Designer Series Paper, the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, the Apothecary Accents Framelits, the Halloween Happiness stamp, Tangerine Tango, Always Artichoke, and Early Espresso Stampin' Write Markers, and Basic Black Candy dots or Glimmer Brads.

I think this card is so cute, the owl punch is one of my favorites and is so versatile.  This Bats About You card was made with Basic Gray, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, and Very Vanilla cardstock, Witches' Brew Designer Series Paper, the Halloween Hello stamp set, Jet Black Stazon ink, the Ticket Duo Builder and Owl Builder punches, Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Black Stampin' Glitter, Heat and Stick Powder and a Heat Tool.

This spooky flip Halloween card was made using the new Label Card Thinlits die as well as Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Pumpkin Pie card stock, Witches' Brew Designer Series Paper and Washi tape, the Best of Halloween, Halloween Bash and Toil & Trouble stamp sets, Jet Black Stazon ink, and the Scallop Oval and Large Oval punches.

The flip trick or treat card was also made using the new Label Card Thinlits die as well as Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Old Olive card stock, Witches' Brew Designer Series Paper and Washi tape, the Best of Halloween, Tags 4 you, and Toil & Trouble stamp sets, Jet Black Stazon ink, the Label Bracket punch, and Basic Black, Summer Starfruit, and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers.
